The Center for DemocracyBased in Wisconsin, the Center for Democracy in Action, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to increasing the spaces, places and events for inclusive dialogue and strategic grassroots action. The organization is a broad resource for individuals and organizations to work together to build healthy, viable, proactive communities. The Center for Democracy in Action is committed to assuring that voices that are too often marginalized or unheard are not only heard, but are understood as important assets and contributors to the common good. The Center for Democracy in Action is the organizing entity for the Global Conference for Stewardship hosted on Saturday, May 2 at the Going Green Wisconsin EXPO. Community CarCommunity Car is a member-based carsharing service that provides cars by the hour for individuals and organizations. Members share access to a fleet of high gas-mileage and hybrid-electric vehicles located in reserved parking spots throughout the city. Community Car supports the Going Green Wisconsin EXPO by encouraging alternate transportation solutions to the event. Conscious ChoiceConcious Choice is an "enlightened" urban lifestyle magazine focusing on social, green, health, food and spiritual consciousness. Pioneering Chicago's green and natural living community for 20 years, Conscious Choice serves as a valuable resource to help readers live Active, Balanced and Conscious lives. EnanoEnergy efficient computers. EZ Office ProductsEZ Office Products is committed to earning the confidence of its customers one at a time by providing good products, fair pricing and unbeatable service. EZ Office is hosting the Green Gatherings location. This area is designed to share attendees green ideas and information. Green ComputingSimple Network Consulting provides technology solutions that explore conservation, sustainability and recycling. We specialize in small to medium businesses (under 500 employees). SNC works with you as a client to determine the "Best Fit" solutions possible. From servers workstations to networking, paperless environment and VOIP, SNC can help you out. The Green TeamThe Triple M Green Team is an environmental outreach program that offers several projects each month to participate in, during our season from April thru October. The team is made up of 105.5 Triple M listeners who want to make a difference and help Madison and its surrounding communities become a better, cleaner place to live, work and play. Last year's Green Team activities included: Earth Day Challenge, Red Bike Painting, Take a Stake in the Lakes, Seed Collection and UW-Arboretum Restoration. Volunteers from the Triple M Green Team will help serve as the helping hands in producing the 2008 GGW EXPO. Volunteers will assist in taking tickets, supervising recyling efforts, directing guests to specific activity areas, handing out gift bags, and monitoring the EXPO's ecological impact. Hybridfest, Inc.Hybridfest is one of the Midwest's first events specifically devoted to the hybrid electric vehicle and other vehicles and fuels that can wean America off its dependence on foreign oil. MeGoGreenThrough the creation of a green search engine, savings guide, business directory, educational resource and event calendar, MeGoGreen brings key green business information and savings directly to local consumers. MeGoGreen looks to collaborate with Dane County schools and nonprofit organizations to utilize the Dane Couty MeGoGreen Guide as a profitable fundraiser, returning $10 for every $25 guide sold to those organizations. Attendees to the Going Green Wisconsin EXPO will have first access to the new Madison MeGoGreen Guide and Web site. Midwest Renewable Energy AssociationThe Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) promotes renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable living through education and demonstration. As presenters of the state's largest event, The Energy Fair, the MREA provides Going Green Wisconsin EXPO attendees energy and sustainable liing options as a preview to the 19th annual Energy Fair, held June 20-22 in Custer, WI. Since its inception in 1990, the Energy Fair has shown 190,000 fairgoers how to change the world while having fun. The Energy Fair features hundreds of workshops and exhibits all emphasizing clean and sustainable energy. MoCo MarketMoCo Market is a cutting edge choice for urban dwellers craving a fresh, healthy alternative to fast-food and prepackaged options. Habitat ReStoreWorking in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Dane County, the Habitat ReStore retail operation provides a valuable source of cash flow through the sale of donated building materials. Habitat ReStore works by accepting donations of new and used building materials such as cabinets, lighting and plumbing fixtures, doors, lumber, flooring, and windows. Some materials will be used to build Habitat houses and the rest will be sold to the public at 50-75% off the retail price to provide the community with a source of low cost building materials. Habitat ReStore also prevents usable building materials from going to a landfill, keeping close to 1000 tons of building materials out of Dane County's landfills annually. Since its founding in 1987, Habitat for Humanity of Dane County has built and sold homes to nearly 120 working, low income individuals and families. Habitat ReStore supports the Going Green Wisconsin EXPO by promoting its 7th Annual Habitat for Humanity ReStore Earth Day Celebration on April 19, 2008.
